Retreat to this private cabin featuring a year-round hot tub, perfect for relaxation. Tucked among pines and rocks in the heart of Amish country, where the occasional clip-clop of horse and buggies adds charm. Styled like a railroad depot, the artistically furnished home displays intricate stonework, tile and custom stained glass. The kitchen includes appliances and cookware, with the outdoor area offering a propane grill & stake-grill. Complimentary firewood is provided for the firepit.
The space
The cabin is situated on 4.5 beautiful hilly acres with pine trees, large rocks, and a creek with a culvert that’s big enough to walk through. There are a plethora of patios, picnic tables, benches, and a hammock for relaxation. The home is open-concept with two bedrooms on the opposite ends of the loft. There are privacy screens between sleeping areas but be aware it is very open! The bathroom also serves as a utility room, housing the water treatment system, well pump, boiler, and dehumidifier. Things to Do Roku: In guest mode—log into your account to stream on the 55” smart TV in the living room or the retrofitted TV in the loft bedroom with the king bed. Books, Records & Games: Enjoy a variety of reading materials, old-fashioned records, and classic games. This peaceful environment encourages creativity, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. We hope you leave refreshed and renewed.
Guest access
Weather permitting, an outdoor scavenger hunt is available for ages 6–96 on the cabin’s 4-acre property. It’s a fun way to explore the land and enjoy trivia along the way. The property includes a northern pasture, a southern basin leading to the creek, and woods behind the cabin extending to the railroad tracks.
Other details
Please remember that you are staying in a unique house, not a run-of-the-mill hotel. You are in the country - some things are out of our control. There will be bugs in summer and sometimes the driveway is inaccessible following a big snowstorm in winter. In that case you can park at the bottom of the hill on the side of the county road. Do not open any window that has a stained glass feature as the glass is fragile. If you do open a window, remember to relock it before you leave. We have furnished the house with games, books and pretty things to enjoy so please supervise young children closely. Do your part to keep ants at bay - absolutely no food in the loft. Sweep up food that gets spilled on the main floor. Bring sandals or flip flops for the short walk to the hot tub. The well water would be unusable if it weren't for the elaborate water softener system. It functions on demand - the more water you use, the more likely it is to kick in to gear. And be forewarned - it is loud when it's doing its job. It should complete the cycle in 10-30 minutes. Enjoy the coffee and any pantry items you find. There is an air popper for popcorn.

We are definitely returning. The location, the experience, the renewal my soul felt as I was able let go and refresh and change what I needed in myself. We will be returning to this hidden gem.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the romantic cottage in Fresno, Amish Country. Rachel's place was very charming and peaceful. It provided a great place to relax for a couple of days. We appreciated the eclectic decor, stained glass, and variety of books, movies, and music. The lights surrounding the hot tub added a special romantic touch. The scavenger hunt on the property was unique and fun. The encouraging messages throughout the cabin were very thoughtful. The water system was not loud at all. The cabin sits about 20 min. from Roscoe Historic Village, Raven's Glenn Winery, and Sugarcreek. Rachel was quick to respond if we messaged her. We wish we could have stayed longer. The only critique is the driveway up to the cottage is narrow and the landscaping surrounding the driveway is overgrown. We found that by trying to stay on the driveway, branches were dragged along the right side of our van leaving some scratches. Cutting those branches back would be of great benefit.

We absolutely loved your place. It was better than the pictures. Outside shower is a unique touch. Loved the shade and privacy. Decorated uniquely and in very good taste. Water system noise wasn't bad at all. Will definitely recommend to friends and would love to return someday.

Absolutely stunning home, perfect for a peaceful solo getaway. As a stained glass lover I was so enamored by the glass and tile work throughout the home. The outdoor shower and hot tub were lovely. Comfortable beds. As a novice writer the typewriter was a lovely surprise. The memory of relaxing in the hot tub watching hummingbirds visit the nearby trumpet vine will stick with me forever if I’m lucky! Reading Renata’s story in the guestbook was heartwarming. Such a lovely tribute. -Em

The cottage was stunning! It was so clean and spacious. We loved the hot tub and outdoor shower, the heated toilet seat was also a huge bonus! The instructions were easy to follow to get into the house and the binder of instructions and tips was a great idea.

We had a wonderful stay at Rachel’s place! It was by far one of the best Air bnbs we have stayed at. It was private, peaceful, and serene. We enjoyed exploring the grounds and doing the scavenger hunt. We made a fire on the patio and the hot tub worked great as well. The cabin was beautiful and in pristine condition. So much to enjoy and experience inside and out. We enjoyed listening to records and just taking a break from the city life. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing Amish country getaway!

The cottage was lovely and unique! Very eclectic. The stairs are super cool. All was clean. Informative welcome book. It was nice to read about the cabin and the history of items inside. The scavenger hunt sounds awesome for kids, but big kids would love too. Unfortunately we didn’t do, as husband got tick 1 st day we were there outside so wasn’t chancing it :( The outside was very private and I’m sure would have been even nicer if we hadn’t come day after big storm. All of our questions were answered in timely manner.

We stayed here for a short honeymoon before we take a larger trip next year. The cottage was just as described, it was incredibly clean, comfortable, welcoming, we felt right at home. The fact we could bring out little pup Daisee made it even better. We appreciated the unique decor and all the little touches that were so thought out around the home. We’ll definitely be back!
